Interbike International Bicycle Expo announced today that the show will continue in Las Vegas. Interbike reached an agreement with Sands Expo and Convention Center in order to host Interbike until 2013. Lance Camisasca (Interbikes industry consultant) said that the decision to keep Interbike in Vegas was made after years of research and communication from our retailers attendees, exhibiting companies, and other important industry partners. We are confident that the show will continue in Las Vegas because of the data we have collected and the industry recommendations made by organisations such as the National Bicycle Dealers Association and Bikes Belong.
The Interbike show would support more bicycle-friendly cities, and provide the best return on investment for retailers and buyers. However, industry members were keen to see it. Fred Clements, National Bicycle Dealers Association boss, explained that the numbers are clear after many communications with the board and review of the annual survey results. Retailers have voted with their feet at the Las Vegas show, regardless of what managers and shop owners tell us.
